How to learn in mentoring relationships, in family relationships, friendships, how to see others as more valuable and worthy than ourselves, to learn from strangers, to learn from historical characters and to have other people speak into our lives. With our permission, let them form us and shape us and not always think that we know best, but to be willing to accept other inputs.

July 23rd 2006 Cellular Spirituality - Message #2 A Biology of Belief: The free-form ways in which our spiritual lives develop and how we stay healthy

Every issue is connected to every other issue and every awareness is connected to every other awareness; if one part of our body is sick, the whole body suffers. But conversely, there are antibodies, things that are healthy in us that are fighting infection, that are fighting sickness, that are making us well. It’s those things that, when we feed them and nurture them, actually chase away sickness and make us healthier, spiritually speaking. We’re going to use diagrams and some visual aides to try to illustrate all of this. It also ties in closely with the series that follows on spiritual competencies, beginning the weekend of July 29-30.

July 16th 2006 Cellular Spirituality - Message #1 The Cell of your Soul: Salvation and the regeneration of our spiritual selves

This first week we’ll talk about the cell of our soul. We’ll talk about the way we come to Christ, the way we become Christ followers and what that entails for us simply to follow Jesus, to be saved, to be one with God, to participate in the kingdom, to be called a child of God. It essentially talks about soteriology (salvation theology) and how we become followers of Jesus Christ.
